The holiday spirit

The holiday season was a bit of a blur, but we made the most of our many celebrations.  The kids are learning to light the menorah on their own, prayers and all.  We decorated our tree and spent lots of time with family.  Unfortunately, Grandma came down with a nasty bug so had to resort to FaceTime to see the Christmas morning festivities.  Aaron loved his hockey set from Grandpa, and Talia couldn't get enough of her new bed.  More pics here.

Art Night

Talia had her first art night at Franklin. Grandma was in Denver but grandpa made show. Talia painted the pears in the first picture--her first masterpiece. The artist who inspired the works was Gauguin.

Basketball Season

Aaron and Lory went to see the Heat play the Wizards. While the Heat did not make a great showing,  the night was salvaged by nachos, popcorn,  a cheeseburger and ice cream--as well as a great father-son bonding time.

Equally exciting was Aaron's first day of basketball league. Not only did Aaron get the Chris Bosh jersey but he also hit the elbow jumper with time expiring just like Bosh.

Gobble, gobble!

We hosted the entire Brin-Race-Terborgh-Abrams-Leanderson clan at our house for Thanksgiving this year.  Calm, it was not, but we loved having everyone together to celebrate the holiday.  The turkey was yummy (phew!) but the company was even better.  We also kept Liz, David and Lucas for a few bonus days of fun.  So much to be thankful for!
