Future Pulitzer Prize?

Talia has been practicing her writing quite a bit over the last few weeks. I came into the kitchen the other day, and this is what she'd done.

Next up, the great American novel!

Just TRyan It

Following in his Aunt Lizzie's footsteps, Aaron was a total stud finishing his first triathlon today!  He swam one length of the pool, biked .65 miles and ran half a mile in the blazing heat.  And the best part was he raised over $500 to help families who have kids fighting cancer.  We are so proud of our little triathlete!  More pics here.

Missing our pup

Sloane has started her summer vacation early. She's heading up to Michigan with Grandma and Grandpa tomorrow. No doubt she'll have a great time up north, but we sure will miss her. See you in August, Sloaner!

Talia and Lory Go To Columbus

Talia and Lory went to Columbus to celebrate Uncle Barry and Aunt Lynda's joint 65th birthday.  We got to spend some time with Barry, Lynda and Jordan, Michael and Matthew, and Mimi and Poppa, check out Barry's train collection (that is, actual trains) and golf course, and celebrate at a pig roast party.  Talia enjoyed spending some quality time with her cousin Matthew, who taught her to play with action heroes, and they both enjoyed torturing the dead pig.  All together a quality family bonding weekend.

Toothless wonder

Bar fight? Nope. Hockey puck? Nope. Corn on the cob? That did it!

Weekend with Mom

Lory and T spent the weekend with family in Ohio, and Aaron enjoyed some quality time with his mom.  He partied it up with his baseball team at the end-of-season shindig (first trophy!), had a fun date night complete with burgers and shakes, and continued to practice his piano (Hall of the Mountain King is a favorite.)

Tiny dancer

Talia -- in her elegant, understated costume -- loved dancing in her very first ballet recital today.  A star is born!  More pictures here.
