New addition

We couldn't be happier to welcome the newest addition of our extended family -- Addison (Addy) Abrams. Kristen and Ben brought home their darling pup a few weeks ago, and she's been getting used to her new digs. Sloane is very excited to have another four-legged friend nearby, but Addy seems primarily interested in Aaron so far (must be the eau de milk and sweet potato that makes him so appealing!) Christmas Festivities

Aaron had a wonderful time celebrating his first Christmas -- he received just a small number of gifts (as you can see from this picture.) Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Andrew were in town, and everyone had fun celebrating the holidays together! Pictures here.

Baby, it's cold outside

The Brins have had an exciting December so far. After weeks of false starts, Aaron started crawling, and it's now a whole new world for him -- and for mom and dad! He's also been pulling himself up and loves standing. We traveled to New York for Ruby Fefferman's baby naming and had lots of fun seeing friends (and introducing Aaron to his future wife.) We survived our first big snowfall of the year -- and are still digging ourselves out! Last but not least, Aaron celebrated his first Hanukkah and kicked off the holiday season at his daycare with a holiday concert. Pics here.

Thanksgiving in Florida

We spent a fabulous week with Lory's family in Florida over Thanksgiving. Aaron met lots of aunts, uncles and cousins, saw the ocean for the first time, and had a great time hanging out with his grandparents.

Halloween!

Our little bumble bee had a blast during his first Halloween (although the candy will have to wait until next year.) We went to Boo at the Zoo with friends and also attended a Halloween party. Aaron had a great time participating in the Halloween parade at his day care. As an added bonus, we enjoyed a visit from Aunt Inie and Cousin Gwen over the weekend as well.

October fun

Fall has officially arrived, and we have been thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Katie and Lory spent their first weekend sans Aaron, traveling to Montreal to celebrate their 5th (!) wedding anniversary. We had a blast when Katie's college friends came to DC for a mini-Michigan reunion. Aaron has been getting more and more mobile -- his favorite new trick is log-rolling from one side of the room to the other -- and eating lots of finger foods. Pictures here.
